Post by sgopticsI need to design a laser beam homogenizer, but the beam shape should be circular rather tnan the usual rectangle shape.
Any idea?

The beam homogenizer was invented by a couple of old colleagues of mine,
John Hoffnagle and Mike Jefferson, then of IBM Almaden. Their original
version produced a circular flattop beam.

refractive optical system that converts a Gaussian to a flattop beam.
